We are the Black Friar Inn and Pub. This is room 2 on our 2nd floor. It has a private bath and the ceiling of the bathroom was once a trolley car’s ceiling. The stained glass windows give the room a rosy Medieval glow. With two comfortable chairs and a fireplace, this room has it all. We are a B&B so breakfast is included with your stay. Please see our website for the menu. Our in town location gives our guests a three minute walk to the harbor and downtown Bar Harbor.

Feel as if you are staying at quintessential Maine B&B for half the cost! Winterport is a sleepy historical town located on the Penobscot River. My colonial home is surrounded by rolling fields and Maine woods for exploring but you are only a 20 minute drive away from Bangor, 40 minutes away from Belfast and an hour to Acadia National Park. This space is ideal if you are vacationing in mid-coast Maine but do not want to pay tourist prices at a Bed & Breakfast.

This 3 bedroom apartment occupies the second floor of the Freedom House Bed & Breakfast main house. Two of the bedrooms have a queen size bed, and one has a king size bed. The apartment has a comfortable living room with cable tv, and a fully equipped eat in kitchen. The bathroom has a claw foot tub/shower combination (and obviously a sink and toilet, lol!) *PLEASE BE AWARE THE STAIR CASE IS STEEP BY TODAYS STANDARDS AS THE HOUSE WAS BUILT IN 1888.
