Galiano Cabin Hideaway

Located on Galiano Island, British Columbia about a 10 minute drive from Sturdies Bay, this island hideaway is a lovely, "open concept" cabin high amongst the treetops. It is perfect for a couple or a couple with a young child that wants to escape from city life and relax in the quiet of the forest. There is one double bed, one sofabed, a dining space, a wood stove for heating along with baseboard heaters, a washer and a dryer, a complete kitchen and full bathroom with shower, sink and toilet. There is parking space in front of the cabin for a maximum of two cars. With large windows, this cabin has a superb view that overlooks the lush Galiano forest and even further with ocean views to the mainland. There are two decks. One covered front deck with deck chairs and a hammock to lounge and look out over Galiano. The rear deck is nicely secluded with a hammock, small bistro table and propane barbecue. It is a 5 minute drive from the nearest beaches, food stores, and shops, and just a 10 minute drive to Montague Harbour Marina Beach and Campsite with moped, kayak, canoe, and boat rentals. There are a number of dining opportunities, cafes, and restaurants close by. This Galiano Cabin Hideaway is unparalleled. It is ideal for a couple seeking relaxation. With this break from the city, you will be snug within the forest and won't feel the need to be anywhere else! There is a 2 night minimum requirement.

Built in bookshelves contain an array of books to unwind with, teach you, or feed your curiosity. The kitchen is well equipped and we have the 'Covid Cleaning' down now. Nestled up against a hillside, it is quiet at night. This little community of cabins is being enhanced. Walking distance to the 'heart' of Birch Bay. Near the State Park.

Visit farm stands and take the Studio Tour. Take a dip in one of many lakes. Climb Maxwell Mountain or stroll through the Saturday Market and other unique shops. Salt Spring is a true one of a kind.

Relax on the beach as you watch the early golden sunrise. Take the canoe out for a paddle in the waters of Lummi Bay. Grab a bundle of firewood at the local convenience store. Dog friendly ($20 fee each) 2 max. See pet fee at booking. Note: BBQ put away for winter.
