Welcome to "Cabin on Swede Hill". Our family has farmed this land since 1871. My great grandparents, Swan and Johanna Johnson immigrated to America in the 1860's, found this land which was similar to Sweden. They raised their family here. Approximately 65 Swedish families settled in this community, became to be know as the "Swede Hills". We just received the Hoosier Homestead Award from Indiana celebrating the Sesquicentennial Award. Super spacious 1 bedroom apartment above a quiet business just east of downtown Niles on Main Street. Great for traveling to Notre Dame, St. Mary's, and beaches in Bridgman and St. Joe. This apartment is located above a quiet business that operates Monday through Friday. The stairs to access the apartment are steep and narrow, please be aware for anyone who may have mobility issues. The only shared space is one common door that splits access to the business from the upstairs apartment.

We also have a couple cats that claim the pool area as their own. The long driveway and gravel road are perfect for a leisurely stroll to enjoy the great outdoors. Take a swim in the pool or a soak in the hot tub and let the worries of life melt away during your stay.

The Nest can accommodate a maximum of 19 guests. The Nest is a spacious sanctuary sitting on 9 acres of beautifully wooded property. This is the perfect place for your next retreat, family get together, or Notre Dame weekend. Enjoy the serenity of nature with the convenience of location. Located around 20 minutes from Notre Dame, 15 minutes from the best restaurants in the area, and 30-45 minutes from Michigan Wine Country and lakeshore.

Kick back and relax in this calm, stylish space. Nestled among the trees, it provides a quiet getaway from the chaos of life allowing you to recharge and renew. The main residence is approximately 400 feet from the cabin. The cabin is secluded and yet close to local attractions, restaurants, biking and nature trails. The Cabin has a total of 420 sq ft living space with 280 sq ft on the ground floor and a 140 sq ft bedroom loft.
