The Cottage at Dunthorpe Farm

The Cottage is a restored wagon barn nestled against the Blue Ridge Mountains. You'll enjoy quality, comfort, quietude, and pastoral views. We are a fully licensed and inspected B&B on a 1790's farm in rural Loudoun County VA. Each morning you are treated to a continental breakfast of fresh pastry, fruit sourced from local farms, and homemade jams which we quietly deliver by 7:30 unless otherwise requested. Note that the base price is for 1-2 people. Guests 3 and 4 have additional fees.

The White Oak Cabin

This 1850's one bedroom rustic cabin offers the option of 2 twin beds or 1 king (beds moved together with insert- upon request) and is ideal for history enthusiasts. A wood-burning fireplace adorns the downstairs, while the sleeping quarters are in the loft above. Decorated in period furnishings as well as an open air (no door) bathroom, visitors will get a more intimate look at our Country’s history. Pets are allowed and are charged a fee of $25 (first night) and $15 (per ea. add'l night).

You get the entire downstairs area which has a separate entrance, private bathroom, sitting area, bedroom, and limited kitchen (refrigerator, freezer, microwave, and coffee/tea kettle). The surrounding area is rural, peaceful and quiet. Lancaster City is 15 miles to the north, Philadelphia 60 miles to the east, and Baltimore 60 miles to the south. The Paradise Amish Guesthouse is located on a typical Amish family rural property in central Lancaster County. John & Sarah have 5 children aged 12 & up. There are horses & chickens, as well as a large vegetable garden out back. A tour of the property may be available if time allows (please ask if interested). There will be other opportunities for interaction depending on the length of your stay, time of year & the family schedule.
