The Saddlerock Guesthouse is located just 2 miles inside the Colorado/New Mexico border. Branson is home to beautiful views of mesas and wide-open prairies. Branson is a small town with hardly any amenities, so if you are looking to get away from it all, this is your place! We have had several Guests stay for the express purpose of star gazing! Delightfully Cozy Historic Post Office/Guesthouse

Estelene was established in 1910 and served as a community center and post office for rural people of southwest Baca County until 1927. Estelene was named after Estelene Collins, the lady who operated the post office on the Collins Ranch where it was located. Estelene was also a teacher at the local schoolhouse for a time. The story goes that after she got older and unable to climb the hill to the original post office, she asked the community to build her a post office closer to the house.

The new air conditioning system and heater with added ceiling fans make for the ideal temperature for any visitor. The home is comfortable, inviting and peaceful. The backyard currently has an unfinished patio with chairs & a grill for those who enjoy the outdoors. The fenced yard makes for a great place for the kids to run and play!
