From parking to home there are 5 stair cases & 112 steps, it's sadly not for mobility reduced individuals. If available, we ca help with your bags. Nelson is a very special city. It has many restaurants and store that offer organic foods as well as vegan options. Lots of artists and galleries to shop from or simply to visit.

The Rusty Bear is our awesome home in Procter Point. Our rock beach on Kootenay Lake gives way to a world of watersports possibilities including kayaking, SUP and world-class fishing. The small community of Procter offers a General Store (complete with fuel and liquor) as well as the Village Bakery (with their famous cinnamon buns). Hiking and biking the Proctologist trails are just out the front door. Golfing is around the corner. Dining, if not on our amazing deck, is a short drive.

Directly across from the entrance to Ainsworth Hot Springs and situated on Kootenay lake. The suite is spacious and features incredible lake and mountain views, a private deck, a fully equipped kitchen, and private access to a secluded beach. It is the perfect, quiet get-away. Three minutes from Kokanee Provincial Park and 10 minutes from the Balfour Ferry. Nelson is a twenty minute scenic drive along the West Arm of Kootenay Lake. Kokanee Zipline is a short 5 minute drive and we are on the doorstep of many famous mountain bike trails in Kokanee Glacier Park.
