An apartment in a former Hotel of Cesis Castle

Die Wohnung und das historische Gebäude haben ein ganz besonderes Flair. Beim Betreten des Treppenhauses stellte sich mir die Frage wie viele Menschen aus wie vielen Epochen sind hier schon durchgelaufen? Öffnet man dann die Wohnungstür taucht man ein in die Vergangenheit und blickt auf frische Dahlien auf dem Tisch. Dann nimmt man wahr, dass alles Historische durch modernen, luxuriösen Lebensstil ergänzt wird: tolle Küche, super Duschbad, herrliches Bett. Und das alles mitten in der Altstadt, 2 Minuten von Burg und Museum entfernt mit Parkplatz im Hof und angenehmer Ruhe - nachts schlafen mit offenem Fenster ist kein Problem! Somit eine absolute Empfehlung in einer wunderschönen Stadt, umgeben von unberührter Natur...

A place is an outstanding home. Those who are looking for home feeling and peaceful atmosphere - this is the place. Very friendly for kids - a plenty of toys inside and playgrounds outside. Perfect place! For me it was very cozy as the place was not overloaded with IKEA staff. Very beautiful!

Janis' place is absolutely fantastic! The flat is impeccably equipped with everything you need for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. All the amenities are thoughtfully provided, and the rate accurately reflects the exceptional quality of the accommodation. The location is unbeatable – just a short 10-minute walk to the historic Cesis Castle and right next to the serene forests of Gauja National Park. What truly sets this experience apart is Janis himself. He is one of the most attentive and welcoming hosts I’ve ever had the pleasure of staying with, going above and beyond to ensure your stay is nothing short of perfect. Highly recommended!

Castle Park Apartment with sunset veranda

This was such a beautiful house and wonderful apartment! We didn't want to leave. We felt very taken care of, the hosts had thought about everything - there was everything you might need in every room. The view was wonderful, the host was very friendly. We felt like we wanted to move and live there. We definitely will visit again <3

Great stay at Girt’s. Comfortable beds and pillows, cooling in lounge room and bedroom, and curtains meant we slept well. Kitchen was well equipped. Bathroom very clean. Modern fit out, great TV, good wifi. Girts and Aiga went out of their way with local recommendations and very friendly and responsive.

I will definitely recommend this amazing place! Its so beautiful! Not only because of the view,but this treehouse is great. Everything was as the photos and even better. Maija guide us to the place and she was very friendly and when i needed something she helped me! This treehouse is like living in a movie! The view is amazing,you will always wonder if its real or if its fairytale. But its not only the treehouse, you can sit near the lake in a very beautiful facilities. Maija also gave us a boat to go in the lake! Jacuzzi was incredible. you can also have a walk around the lake or even swim if you want! I definitely recommend this for couples,you will have amazing time! You will forget your tech devices your computer and your television. You will experience something unique and you will definitely want to visit this place again. Totally satisfied and I totally recommend it! Thank you maija!

Jauka, mierīga vieta, kur pavadīt laiku. Ļoti plaša teritorija un mierīga apkārtējā vide. Lai arī atrodas nelielā ciematā, īpašums ir nedaudz nostāk no citiem, bet tajā pašā laikā dažu minūšu brauciena attālumā no Cēsīm. Šoreiz nepaspējām ieiet pirtī vai kublā, bet to varbūt kādu citu reizi.

Wonderfully home. The construction and architecture is beautiful and well built. I highly recommend staying at Ivars place and will look to stay again when I return to Latvia. 100% recommend!!!

Inese and her place in the beautiful Vidzeme countryside was all we could have hoped for and more. She truly made us feel welcome and appreciated. The wood fired pirts (sauna) and hot tub were a special treat! Everything in the home was done with care. Would definitely come back to Inese’s place in the future.

Гостеприимство на высшем уровне. Хозяйка Ирина встретила нас как родственников, с теплотой и заботой. Очень общительная, открыто отвечала на все вопросы и подробно рассказала путь к пешеходным лесным тропам. Накормила вкусным ужином и завтраком, еще и в дорогу нам собрала гостинец. От центра до дома пешком минут 40, также ездит автобус, но редко, если правильно поняла, то 1 раз в час. Зато до реки Гауя и всех пешеходных троп рукой подать. Руслан, сын Ирины который представляет жилье на Airbnb тоже очень милый и общительный. Быстро отвечал на сообщения, подробно все рассказывал, помог разобраться с транспортом из Риги до Цесиса, посоветовал что посетить в городе и всячески помогал нам чтобы отдых прошел максимально приятно. Мы всем довольны, и непременно вернемся в этот дом если будем снова в Цесисе.

What a pitty we only had time for a 1 night stay at this wonderful place! Kārlis welcomed us personally and show us the apartment that's part of his nice house. The apartment is not huge, but is beautiful and has everything you need. (The only thing we missed was a door to seperate the bedroom from the kitchen, which would have been convenient to put our baby to sleep without having to be very quiet ourselves.) But for a couple without a small child, it is absolutely perfect. And we did get to use a very comfy baby bed. Also the main bed is very comfortable and the sheets smell delicious. Cēsis is beautiful and worth a several day visit! Thanks a lot, Kārlis!

Très agréable séjour, avec une belle place de jeu pour les enfants et tout l’équipement nécessaire pour faire un bon barbecue. Le logement est bien équipé.

Stunning views of the lake from the cabin, really serene and relaxing area. Hosts greeted us upon check in and provided instructions and gave us apples. Very kind. In autumn it was a bit cold, but to be expected. Bed was comfortable, and sauna very convenient and warm. Raiskumeitus brewery nearby is a must try.

The apartment is very nice, clean and cosy. It has all the amenities needed for a good stay and more. The walk to the center is easy but takes a bit more than 20 minutes. So if you want to be dead center maybe something you should consider. Overall great experience.
