The Blue Barn

A delightful 17th Century barn, sitting in the heart of the village of Kislingbury. It is in a secluded position, located at the end of a private gravel drive, which provides off road parking. The barn has recently been converted to an exceptionally high standard. The Sun Pub and Cromwell Cottage are within walking distance. Kislingbury is near to the M1 and Silverstone Circuit. It is an ideal base to visit the Cotswolds, Oxford, Cambridge, and only 50 minutes to central London by fast train.

The barn was converted by ourselves over two levels - one ground floor and one underground (don't worry it is very light and airy on the lower floor!) We created a self catering studio apartment from our hay loft during the lockdown of 2020. In the heart of the Welland Valley in Leicestershire there are are wonderful views up the hill to Nevill Holt (home of the Nevill Holt Opera Festival) and from the sofa you will be able to watch the sun setting behind the hill. Just 100 metres from the Old George and Dragon, the COCK does not provide food at the moment, but a great atmosphere. However, 5 minutes drive away is the SUN at Felmersham which does good food. Several places in Bedford deliver takeaways. Ideal for walkers on the John Bunyan Trail.
