Our cabin is rustic yet enchanting. Hand-built in 1947, Longacres is the perfect cozy place to unplug and unwind. But if you need high-speed internet, you’ve got it! Old Town Manteo is a charming harbor town where you will feel far from the beach boxes and OBX crowds. Longacres is 1 mile from downtown, a 5 minute walk to the Roanoke Sound and a 12 minute drive to the Nags Head beaches. To complete your adventure, we provide bikes and kayaks so you can explore the water and town at your own pace.

The large outdoor area is a highlight, featuring an outdoor grill, fire pit, and shower, perfect for unwinding and enjoying nature. Whether you're basking in the sun, grilling a delicious meal, or relaxing by the fire, our tiny home promises a memorable and rejuvenating escape.

Historic Lennon Cottage at the Mother Vine

Due to its design and antiques the home is not suitable for children under 12. Historic cottage located on Mother Vineyard Road with private access to the Roanoke Sound across the street. The 1930's cottage was built by Robert Bruce Lennon (Kerry's Great Grandfather). Enjoy coffee on the cozy porch & admire the huge, old magnolia tree. Launch your paddle-board or kayak into the shallow sound. Bike downtown and to area attractions. Fully stocked, modern kitchen. Watch the sunset from the dock!

2nd Floor Waterfront Lighthouse View Downtown

See our "hall of art" where each hallway is an art galleries Laney Layton of Edenton working as an artist since 1973. Just look for her signatures. You tube "tour of Manteo nc" to see this special location in the heart of downtown on a 2nd floor overlooking the lighthouse and Shallowbag bay. Walk to restaurants, bars, shops, docks, and Festival Park/Elizabeth II. Visit The Lost Colony/Fort Raleigh/Elizabethan Gardans, NC Aquarium, and Jockey's Ridge. La Vida Isla Guesthouse

La Vida Isla is a quiet, shady retreat from the beach. This is a place to unwind and relax. We are in a safe neighborhood on Roanoke Island. The cottage is an airy and calming space. We take great strides to make sure it is super clean and well maintained. Our goal is to provide a space for complete relaxation. The cottage and outdoor spaces are very private. There is a patio area with outdoor seating as well as a screened porch. Listen to the wind chimes and birds. Enjoy the flowers.

We have created this cottage as a place for couples, remote workers, small families or friends seeking a unique space unwind. The space is decorated in nautical theme with collectibles & décor we hope you will enjoy. Stay with us relax, and enjoy Manteo's charm. Explore the history, grab lunch and a coffee while you hit the quaint shops. If fishing and exploring is more your speed, there are several charters and tours that start at the Manteo marina area. Oh yeah, Nags Head beach, just 6 miles away!

Creef Cottage is nestled in the heart of historic downtown Manteo, North Carolina on Roanoke Island, where there are boardwalks on the Albermarle Sound, bikepaths, shopping, and dining within walking distance. Roanoke Island is the home of the longest running outdoor drama, "The Lost Colony", Elizabethan Gardens, and North Carolina Aquarium. It is a 10 minute drive to the ocean. There is much to do and see in this area.
