We have not met Lina but we were checked in by a nice Italian gentleman who met us at the place and explained to us (in Italian) all we needed to know about the flat and the area. The apartment is quite small but it is conveniently placed, a minute away from a convenience store, 3 minutes walk to a big supermarket and 5 minutes walk to probably the cheapest covered parking in central Nice (Marshall). It is a 10-15 minutes walk to main touristic sights and attractions of Nice, which to us was preferable to staying in noisy and crowded parts of the town. There is a bus stop right in front of the apartment building, but we never used the bus, so I cannot say if the stop is on a useful line or not. We also felt quite safe in the area. The apartment building had a small elevator so you don't need to worry if you have a lot of suitcases. The apartment took a lot of light but this could be a little problem if you are sensitive to morning light. One of the big windows had a shutter but the other one did not, so you need to bring an eye mask if you are easily woken up by 5am sun rise. Overall, we had a very positive experience and would want to stay at Lina's place if we ever go to Nice again.
The apartment is very small, but it is very comfortable and cozy. Everything is organized in such way that makes your living easy and comfortable: the bed hidden in the niche, separated kitchen area, isolated antechamber. And that nice sound of birds singing in the garden. I really felt like at home during the I week I stayed there. The apartment is well equipped, but wi-fi could be great improvement. You can reach old town in 15 minutes walk, beach - 20 minutes, Nice train station - 10 minutes, Carrefour - 4 minutes.
We had a great time there! Very old building renovated, charming décoration in great surroundings, just 10 minutes walk from the Old Nice. Clean and stylish. The only "minus" we had not figured out beforehands is that the flat is very very small (it is a French "studio" actually, one room for everything), no possible intimacy or cooking sessions. But anyway we enjoyed it! We have not met Lina personnally but were welcame by her very nice Italian father-in-law and she had sent precious tips for dinner etc. we almost used all!
This is a delightful, neat little apartment close to the Acropolis Convention Centre in Nice, which was really convenient for me. I didn't meet Lina but she organized for someone else to meet me there with the keys, which all went very smoothly, despite the lack of a common language! Awesome croissant recommendation just around the corner. Loved it.
