À propos de ce logement
You get the whole house, a spacious, family home w/ views on Playa Del Rey "Hill," just 3 blocks from beach. House is 4br+2ba, 2,100SF with yard and exterior dining for 10. Heaps of in-front parking. Quite, upscale community with great/easy access to the Westside (Sta.Monica, Venice, Marina, LAX=10 min); Downtown, BevHills=20Min. Walk or ride bike to the beach or bike path in 8 min. Full kitchen+dishware for 12. Washer/dryer. Dishwasher. 54"TV+Cable. Comfortable beds. Fastidious maids. Bikes.
The house is spacious, a 2-story, 2,100 SF house on a 6,500 SF lot on the "hill" in Playa Del Rey, one of LA's best beachside communities. Four bedrooms, two full bathrooms, living, kitchen, dining, office, single car garage. Peek-a-boo views of the ocean. Walk down the hill: toes in the sand in 8 minutes. Lemon, fig, cumquat, olive, Chinese elm, palm trees and cactus. Driveway-parking and loads of restriction-free street parking. Playa Del Rey avoids much of the traffic and congestion of West-LA communities while providing great access to Santa Monica, Venice, Beverly Hills, Marina Del Rey AND Downtown (via the 105Fwy=20 min). Playa del Rey is unique in part due to its Ballona Creek Wetland Preserve (the size of NY's Central Park), providing one of LA's largest natural buffers to its urbanity. Loyola Marymount University neighbors. And Playa Vista (aka: Silicone Beach), LA's and California's newest Tech Hub, also adjoins, just three miles east and below LMU. Unlike WestsideLA, South Bay Communities such as Manhattan Beach are a scenic 10-minute drive along the beach. Also view-worthy, walk just one-half block west to views spanning from Point Dume (Malibu) to Palos Verdes Peninsula and Catalina Island, see all of Santa Monica Bay and Marina Del Rey. The small town of Playa del Rey remains something of a throwback, 1970's California beach stop rarity. It, too, is just an eight-minute walk down the hill (northwest). Backed up against the Playa Del Rey Lagoon and Ballona Creek Wetland, you could walk to the ocean, to the lagoon, dine either casually or almost-gourmet. You could then then finish with a pub crawl: PDR has a range of dive bars (e.g., The Harbor Room claims to be the smallest pub in the US and POW's down the street is eponymous with its regular clientele) to higher end (Bacari: wine bar, Tripel's:craft beers, Provisions:whiskey-tasting room). This is just stuff walking distance. There's no end to what you can find in the rest of LA.
