Our condo is a very comfortable corner unit with cooling cross breezes and two lanais. Well stocked with kitchen essentials and gadgets, comfy no-corner indoor/outdoor living spaces, a full-size W/D, and a nice media center with Netflix for when you just need some downtime on the couch, and a second Roku/Netflix TV in the master. HALE HONU PROPERTY DESCRIPTION
Hale Honu is a very comfortable, well-appointed, island-style 3 bedroom, 2 bath condominium. It comfortably sleeps six and is well suited for families. Our local Caretaker is very knowledgable and makes herself available if a Guest is in need or has a question.

OWNER'S RESPONSIBILITIES
Owner shall pay for normal and customary usage of water, electricity and cable. Any housekeeping services requested DURING your stay shall be at the expense of the Guest. Any utilities which exceed the normal and average monthly bill may be deducted from the guest security deposit.

CONSERVATION OF UTILITIES
All Guests must use due care in conserving utilities. The water shall not be left running for an unreasonable length of time and care will be taken in turning off the lights and electrical devices. Guest may be charged for any utility cost which is over the normal and typical and average monthly bill. This will be deducted from the security deposit (and credit card guaranty).

DISCLOSURE OF FIRE HAZARDS & PROHIBITION AGAINST EXPLOSIVES AND OPEN FIRES
Guests hereby acknowledge that the subject property is in a fire hazard area and that occupants must use due care in handling any and all flammable substances. Moreover, no explosives shall be allowed on the property, including without limitation, fireworks. Additionally, no open fires are permitted on the property.

SUPERVISION OF CHILDREN
Puako Beach Condominiums is both a residential and a rental community. All adult Guests are responsible for all minors (those under the age of 18) and must make sure they abide by the house rules. Under NO CIRCUMSTANCES may children be left unattended on the grounds or at the pool. These terms and conditions are applicable during at all times during your occupancy. The Owner and, if applicable, the Owner's Caretaker/Managing Agent accept no responsibility and or liability with respect to said minors on any portion of the condominium or grounds.

CLEANLINESS AND GOOD ORDER
Guests agree to keep the unit clean, neat, safe and in good order and pay for any damages caused by misuse or neglect. Cleanliness is critical in the maintenance and control of insects and pests. Any defect in the unit should be promptly reported to the Owner, or the Owner's Caretaker/Managing Agent if applicable. Guests agree to leave the unit in clean and neat condition upon vacating. The security deposit may be used to cover cleaning costs which are over and above the normal and average cleaning bill.

INSECT and PEST CONTROL
The Owner retains the services of a professional pest control company for the purpose of maintaining insect/pest control in and around the premises, on a regular basis. However, we are in the "Tropics" and insects and rodents can be resistant to complete eradication. Bug spray is available in the unit, but we cannot guarantee complete control over Mother Nature's pests and WILL NOT issue any refunds due to the sighting of pests.

MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY
The maximum number of people allowed to occupy the premises is at any one time is listed in your rental agreement. The standard number of beds/people in the unit is 6.

NO ALTERATIONS TO THE UNIT
You are not allowed to make any holes in the walls, floors or ceilings or use any adhesives, or like items.

NO DISTURBANCES, NO PARTIES
You are not allowed to disturb others, or keep the neighbors from enjoying their premises or any common facilities, at any time. You are not allowed to play loud music, loud instruments, or cause any type of loud or offensive sounds, including the TV. No loud parties are allowed. Violation will be subject to forfeiture of the security deposit.

VISIBILITY AND USE OF LANAI
Nothing shall be thrown or emptied by the Guest occupants or their invitees from their windows, doors or lanais. No clothes, towels or any other material may be hung on or from the lanai railings for any purpose whatsoever, nor shall laundry be hung in doorways or in windows in such a manner as to be in view of persons outside of the condo buildings.

NO PETS OR ANIMALS
No pets or animals are allowed. Pets and animals include, but are not limited to birds, fish, guinea pigs, cats, rats, rabbits, mice and dogs.

NO SMOKING IN THE BUILDINGS OR ON THE GROUNDS
This is a "non-smoking" rental. No smoking OF ANY KIND is allowed inside the unit or on the lanai, or within 100 yards of the building in all directions.

OWNERS AND CARETAKER/MANAGING AGENT TO BE HELD HARMLESS
The Owner and if applicable the Owner's Caretaker/Managing Agent accept no liability for any claims whatsoever arising out of the guest occupancy or that of their guests, invitees and/or licensees. The Guest occupant hereby agrees to indemnify, defend and hold harmless the Owner and the Owner's Caretaker/Managing Agent for any and all claims, damages, losses, PENALTIES, COSTS, CHARGES AND EXPENSES, INCLUDING REASONABLE ATTORNEY FEES ARISING OUT OF THE GUEST OCCUPANCY OR THAT OF THEIR Guests, Invitees, AND/OR Licensees, INCLUDING Without LIMITATION, ANY ACCIDENT, INJURY OR DAMAGES TO ANY PERSON OR PROPERTY OCCURRING IN, ON, OR ABOUT THE SUBJECT PROPERTY OR ANY PART THEREOF ON PROPERTY, BEACH, POOL OR BODY OF WATER ADJACENT THERETO AND USE IN CONNECTION THEREWITH.

REFUSE AND RECYCLING DISPOSAL
All trash, refuse and recycling must be emptied into the refuse and recycling containers provided on the premises. Fees for pick-up and disposal of excessive trash, which exceeds the normal and customary amount, may be deducted from the security deposit.

SECURITY DEPOSIT
You must pay security deposit IN ADVANCE. This security deposit must be paid within 90 days of your arrival. The security deposit is held for 30 to 45 days after your departure, then it is mailed to you less any expenses for long distance telephone calls, repairs, missing items, or any other damages as hereinafter provided. This security deposit may also be used for cleaning costs that exceed normal and customary fees, or specific damage to the grounds or building property. Please leave the unit clean, neat and tidy. Please conserve utilities, as excessive use of utilities could be charged to the security deposit.

THIS AGREEMENT IS NOT ASSIGNABLE
The Guest occupant may not sublet, or let anyone else other than their registered family and guests occupy the premises. This agreement is not assignable.

USE OF PROPERTY You may use the premises only as a provided herein and as a place to vacation and shall be not be used it for any unlawful, improper purpose or illegal activity.

CHECK-IN, CHECK-OUT AND LATE FEES
Your occupancy will commence on the CHECK-IN DATE and terminate on the CHECK-OUT DATE . CHECK-IN TIME is 3:00 PM and CHECK-OUT TIME is 11:00 AM. If these times do not fit your schedule, please let us know in advance, so that other arrangements can be made if at all possible. Stays later than check out time of 11:00 AM MAY be available for an additional half-day rate and MUST BE APPROVED IN ADVANCE. Bookings are often "back-to-back" and the check out time is critical in order to allow sufficient cleaning of the unit before the next arrival. If you stay longer than the check-out time without prior approval, you will be charged an additional day's fee.

We –really- need that time between Guests to clean and prepare the condo for our next visitors and want them to have as excellent an experience as you did. Thank you for your cooperation.

Enjoyed our stay in the condo. The unit has a kitchen that is easy to cook in...lots of little extras like beach chairs etc. It was a nice week stay...

This condo has a an exceptional location in a very quiet building with close proximity to excellent snorkeling places. The condo was furnished with everything you might need in the kitchen and was wonderful for four people to congregate in the open kitchen-Family room area with wide views (being a corner condo) and lots of cross ventilation and fans. We would come back in a minute. Coming and going couldn't have been easier. We are quiet people so we appreciated the quiet privacy that characterizes the complex.

We were so sad to have to cancel this reservation - but the weird timing between calendar sync's made a cross-over reservation from another website unavailable when Emma made the request. I would have loved to have hosted her and her family and hope we will be able to do so another time.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! The condo is well-equipped with all you need for an enjoyable stay. Including a well-stocked kitchen, beach supplies, washer & dryer, outdoor balcony space, smart TVs, etc. There is also a very cute general store next door, which is very convenient for snacks and souvenirs. The grounds & pool are very well kept, including fruit and flowering trees/bushes that you can partake from. Also, super close/convenient to the beautiful beaches along the Kahala Coast. Instructions and information were clearly communicated. We are already looking forward to our next trip here!

We so enjoy hosting families, as our condo is designed for it (as we use it as an extended family too!). Kimberly's review is very accurate - and we cannot say enough about being right across the street from two great beaches, and within 1./2 mile of several more. Puako is lovely and we are so lucky to be a part of this community!
