Sweet little sheepherder's cabin we rescued. It belonged to a sheep herder named Ray Wallery in the 50's and 60's. No electricity.

We are fully-licensed farm stay.

It is good for couples, solo adventurers, and families, but the cabin only sleeps two.

Le logement

The bed is a double, which was upgraded from the single Ray Wallery would have used. It's not a huge space, but is cozy and endearing. Ray left some sweet messages on the walls, which I have framed with antique frames. His handy work is also scribed on a bench, Ray Wallery 1962. Moved from the mountains where he inhabited it, I think he'd probably shake his head at the fact that we are renting his old cabin out to people from all over the world.
There is no AC.

Accès des voyageurs

We have an outdoor shower house with heat-on-demand water as well as a composting outhouse. Wifi is available at the house.

Échanges avec les voyageurs

Completely recommend! The cabin has all that you need for a comfortable and quiet countryside stay. The shower and toilet facilities are great for the location and all is very pretty and relaxing. LaVonne is extremely welcoming and helpful and her detailed directions saved us when we got lost! We were even lucky enough to enjoy some goat yoga at the farm!

I had a wonderful stay at LaVonne's cabin. The place was well organized, clean, and very comfortable. The remoteness of the location also added to my Montana experience. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. LaVonne was also incredibly helpful in terms of recommending a local dinner spot (Mint Cafe) which ended up being a delicious meal.

Awesome. LaVonne and her husband were excellent hosts. Perfect base for my son and I to hike, fish and visit MSU.

There is just something about being in an authentic old cabin that is life-affirming and this is a good example, so If you like a rustic stay this is a good one. The cabin is on a working farm, and they have several other options so check them out also. The farm feels like you're way out in the country but is just minutes from good food and shopping experiences. LaVonne and her husband and very friendly and helpful. Try it out!

Lavonne was super helpful. I got stuck on a job and was several hours late, she was very understanding and met me out at the street in the dark to show me to the cabin. They even got up early in the morning to help me replace one of my trailer lights! The cabin was amazing, very authentic and super cozy. You won't find better host out there!
