Architecturally inspired by a tower in the Kasbah of Tangier, the self-catering Casita has a very special charm and a wonderful feeling of space and privacy for two people.
With its own entrance from the busy village street it is situated in the scented garden and a moments walk from the swimming pool courtyard, which are shared with up to 5 guests in Casa Mosaica. A mature palm tree gives shade to the Casita's private patio garden with banquette, table and chairs and sun beds.
Entering through the cedar door the entrance hall has a stunning mosaic floor and opens onto the double height kitchen and dining room; there are doors to the patio for outdoor eating. The comfortable sitting room has a wood-burning stove, fast wireless connection, TV with HDMI cables and European channels, a DVD player and selection of DVDs to borrow as well as audio cables to speakers.
Upstairs the bedroom has a king size bed (150cms x 200m) and pretty windows looking out over the garden. The sunny bathroom is fitted with a tadelakt bath, and a hand made mirror mosaic in the shower.
The terrace at the top of the tower room has a comfortable day bed, a small kitchen and a drinks fridge. Stunning views towards Cortes de la Frontera and the Sierra in one direction and the tiled roofs of Gaucin in the other, it is a magical place to catch the last sun of the day, relax with a bottle of wine or sleep under the stars on a hot July night.

These days I divide my time between London and Gaucin. I live upstairs in Casa Mosaica and am very happy to help guests, usually inviting them all for a drink on my terrace. I have provided a guest book full of useful local information.
There are 2 friendly, clean house cats, Kevin & Geoffrey, living at Casa Mosaica, therefore it may not be suitable for guests with cat allergies.
Mostly 7 night stay during high season. Please enquire for shorter or longer stays in low season and low season prices.
Hi, I am passionate about Andalucia, the people are warm, the history is fascinating and there always seems to be a festival of some kind or another going on. I'm also passionate about Roman mosaics and interior decorating, I love colour, and you will see plenty of colour and mosaics at Casa Mosaica. I wish there was space to put a few more.
I adore Pedro Almodovar films and Classical Spanish guitar music. I love shopping in Morocco for lanterns, rugs and hand made flat breads to bring back to Spain. Vegetable tagine and Moroccan Chicken with Couscous is my signature dinner party meal! My life motto would be.....Life is what you make of it.
