In response to Vanessa's comments. The smell that she is referring to is seaweed. The listing specifically states that seaweed could accumulate in the beach, depending on the season. Even though it is cleaned weekly, it comes in everyday. This is natural to the area and beaches of Sugarloaf Key. Vanessa also mentions an old toilet, yet before her arrival everything in the house was working fine. When toilets are excessively stuffed with toilet paper, toilets will not flush. The toilet in question was left with feces and an exaggerated amount of toilet paper. The guest mentions a concern about a Cuban refugee raft. Yes, the week before the guest arrived, a raft with three Cuban refugees washed ashore. The reality is that Cuban refugees can arrive at any time or place in the Florida Keys and Miami. The chances for this to happen again on the property are slim and the refugees if anything need water and assistance. What Vanessa fails to mention on her feedback is that her group was at the neighbor's dock (trespassing) at 3:00AM shooting off fireworks. Obviously they were feeling pretty safe and having a great time. This irresponsible act caused for several neighbors to call and complain. We are not in the business of making up false accusations about our guests, hence why after reviewing the case, AirBnB approved a resolution payout in our favor. Our goal is for every guest to enjoy the property and their vacation, but we do ask that all guests follow the rules and take care of the property as stated in the listing.
