À propos de ce logement
Fern Villa is a characterful Victorian 4 star B&B in a quiet location with stunning sea views. A great location for walking the coast path or exploring this part of West Wales. 5 minutes from beaches, ferry to Ireland, train and coastal buses.
Fern Villa is a Victorian house which was built on land brought from the church in 1877 for £30! It has had various uses over the years but is now a 4 star B&B.
Our double rooms are situated at the front of our house and have stunning sea and countryside views. The rooms are spacious and decorated individually, one with antique furniture. The en-suite has a shower, toilet and basin, towels and toiletries are provided. Rooms have a hospitality tray, colour freeview tv, radio and hairdryers. Wifi is available free of charge.
We also have a twin en-suite room and single room, both of which overlook our terraced gardens. These rooms are listed on airbnb. Our garden is huge and guests are most welcome to use it, spades and trowels can also be provided free of charge if you don't want to laze about!!!
Breakfast is taken in a sunny room overlooking the sea and will set you up for the day. We use local produce where possible and everything is freshly cooked to order. Early starts are no problem.
We have off road parking and free safe road parking. Storage is also available for cycles.
We are situated in the old fishing village of Goodwick in a quiet location, but within walking distance of the beautiful Pembrokeshire coast path, local coastal buses link up the path, so you don't have to walk both ways! We have walked most of the path (has taken about 25 years!) and can definitely recommend it, we have books, maps and binoculars that you can borrow. Fishguard Harbour with its ferry to Ireland is a 5 minutes walk away as is the train station, with links to Cardiff and London. The village has several pubs/restaurants and a Post Office. Goodwick with its old winding lanes is also worth an explore, and keep an eye out for seals and porpoises which are often spotted from the headland.
Fishguard is a pleasant stroll along the coastal Marine Walk and offer more shops and eating opportunities. Why not visit the famous 'Last Invasion Tapestry' situated in the Town Hall, always good for the odd wet day we may get!
We also have nearby the relatively unexplored Guawn Valley with its river and woodland, and also the wild Presili Hills with its far reaching views and roaming horses.
The smallest City in the UK, St Davids with its magnificent Catherdral is only a 20 minute drive away and well worth a visit.
Further afield, but all reached within an hour are Tenby, with its golden beaches, market towns of Cardigan and Carmarthen. How about seeing puffins on Skomer Island or taking a boat trip around Ramsey? All things that we have done and are happy to recommend.
Whether you are looking to stay just for one night or for a short break, you will be made most welcome at Fern Villa.
PLEASE NOTE: We have 3 double rooms all with sea views, so if it is booked on the calendar, it just means that 1 room is reserved, we still may have vacancies, please send an enquiry.

I have had a life long dream to achieve two things, one was to live by or very near to the sea, and the other was to run my own B&B, and in 2008 my dreams came true!!!
Originally from Surrey I spent many a happy holiday in Pembrokeshire with my daughter and son, never thinking that one day I would end up living there. My partner Mike helps run the B&B with me. Before the B&B I worked for Orange and then the MOD, and Mike was with the Civil Service, so this is a big lifestyle change for us.
We enjoy cycling, though the hills here are challenging, and walking, especially coastal walking, which is lucky as there is no shortage of those types of walks here! Photography is a great passion of ours and we take far too many pictures, thank goodness for digital cameras so we can delete some!
If we get quiet days we like nothing better than going out exploring the local area, we then become holidaymakers for the day.
We are very much looking forward to meeting new guests from Airbnb.
