This is a wonderful getaway for families or adults. A beautiful location right on the Bow River with views of the river, parkway and easy access to Edworthy Park, bike paths, Riverside Spa, and restaurants. Just a 45 minute drive to the mountains.
Our home is ideal for families as well as perfect for couples or girlfriend getaways; the parkway and cycling paths are just at the end of our driveway with Edworthy park a three minute walk outside our door. The townhouse has a private outdoor entrance and there is a private single car driveway should you choose to bring a vehicle. The walking bridge crossing to the park is visible from our main floor balcony. Our modern, comfortable 2 bedroom, 2 bath home has beautifully renovated bathrooms and an open concept living area which features hardwood floors, a wood burning fireplace, modern kitchen and a 55 inch flatscreen tv. There is a balcony on this level which faces the river and houses a Cuisinart barbeque as well as an outdoor table with seating for 2 - 4. The contemporary dining room seats 4-6 and the kitchen bar seats 4. Both the master and guest room have queen sized beds. The master bedroom opens onto another balcony with large comfortable furniture, perfect for reading or drinking wine and enjoying the views. Very centrally located with easy access to Memorial Drive, we are 2.8 km from the Alberta Children's hospital and 3 km from the University of Calgary, 8 min from downtown, 5 min from the charming Kensington neighborhood, 7 km to the restaurants along 17th Ave and 8km from the Calgary Stampede. Easy access to all via the bike paths or Memorial Drive . Located just minutes away from restaurants and shopping, and a 45 minute drive to the mountains, Banff and ski resorts.
Accès des voyageurs
Access to the home is by keypad code which we change for each guest. There are 2 twin size hard foam mattresses (very popular with our guests) to accommodate beyond the 2 queens in the bedrooms. We have 2 small rafts available on request (for summer use), also 2 bikes. The garage has minimal access (for laundry and taking bikes in and out), and the office will not be available to guests, but there is open wireless access for the internet if you bring your own devices. Netflix is available on both the main floor area and in the master bedroom. The Riverside Gym is right behind the townhouse with access to a quality gym, steam room, jacuzzi and swimming pool. There is a daily access fee or weekly pass available.

We are not on the premises. A trusted friend will provide access, allowing our guests the freedom to enjoy the place on their own!
Calgary is a great city all year round. Friendly and outdoor oriented, it is a great environment for arts lovers with lots of theatre, dance, and music activity, and is heaven for family outdoor activities, including skating at the Olympic Oval, skiing at Olympic park and other. The Calgary Stampede (July) draws large international crowd, as does the High Performance Rodeo (international theatre festival in January), the long ski and skating season, and our active sports environment including our own Calgary Flames.
I've seen a number of versions of house rules online and am following their lead:
This is our home. Please treat it well :)
Absolutely no smoking inside or on balconies.
Please use entryway mats and remove shoes indoors (this is a very normal Canadian habit) to keep carpeted stairs clean.
Please do not rearrange or move the furniture or take the indoor furniture outside.
Please leave the house in the condition you found it; dishes done, pillows on sofa, etc. General tidying up on your departure is much appreciated.
Please respect our neighbours; no loud music and absolutely no parties.
Sorry, our general rule is no pets.

My husband and I live in Calgary, Alberta. We are both working artists (dance theatre) and full time faculty at the University of Calgary. He is from Poland originally and I am from Los Angeles. We love our touring, performing and teaching lives and look forward to sharing our Polish and Canadian home with others when we are travelling.
