Wander into the organic garden to pick tomatoes, lettuce, peppers, onions, cucumbers and carrots for a fresh salad. Corn, potatoes, squash, peas and Brussels sprouts are grown on the premises as well. You may even want to sample a fresh hop.

Take a stroll over to the grape vine trail surrounding our koi filled pond and watch the fish delight when you feed them.

This place is a gem if you are looking for a place in the woods. Barbara and Michael are great hosts. Biking and hiking are right at the entrance of their driveway. They provide a great breakfast along with as much interaction as you desire. First time with them and will probably be back in the future.

Great AirBnB. Private bedroom and bathroom with location close to keuka wineries. Mike went above and beyond gave us some good tips for wineries and made amazing breakfast!

Barbara and Mike offer peace and quiet in a very rural setting. They allow privacy and there is a welcoming friendly approach. Hammondsport is very small but has good restaurants, the village is a ten minute drive. We had bed and breakfast at Mike and Barbara's. I would cHeck in advance whether you may use kitchen facilities if you plan to cook at home as there is no private kitchenette facilities or for making hot drinks. You would share these with your hosts. The area is beautiful and plenty of interesting hikes in Watkins glen, Ithaca and around finger lakes.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Barbara’s Place. Barbara and her husband Michael were great hosts and we were greeted by their friendly dog Maggie upon our arrival. We had a very nice room on the upstairs floor at the back of the house that was very private, with its own large bathroom with separate shower and large whirlpool tub. The room was very spacious and clean. There was a small sofa in the room along with brochures for the area for things to do. This was a great starting point for our trip in wine country as Dr. Frank’s was just down the road, being our first stop and was very convenient to a lot of other wineries in the area. Each morning we sat down to a more than filling breakfast. Blueberry pancakes, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, toast with homemade raspberry jam & coffee to name a few of the tasty breakfast offerings we had. Everything was organic, fresh eggs from their chickens, sausage from the Amish in the area. They were very helpful in giving us some great suggestions for places to go for dinner (Union Block Italian Bistro) as well as some new wineries that were not on our list to try. One evening we relaxed in front of the fireplace in the living room after dinner on the sofa with our reading material after a long day of wine tasting. So warm and cozy. I would highly recommend a stay with Barbara and Michael at their home. You won’t be disappointed. Thank you for your hospitality. We had a great time and hope to see you next year.

This place is truly a vacation for your soul! Set in a beautiful, rugged woods setting, you truly are able to unplug and unwind. Especially when the fireplace is going! It's so easy to lose track of time as you enjoy nature, and just the general quiet that is here at this place! Michael and Barbara are both amazing host and hostess! They put great care into making you feel at home, and able to truly rest. And their dog Maggie is a gentle giant. So friendly, and quiet. Wii stayed in the master suite, and truly felt like royalty, especially since there was the beautiful jacuzzi for our use in our room! The mattress was incredibly comfortable, as well as the pillows! We left our window open at night, as all you can hear are crickets, and maybe an hour or two. Would highly recommend this place as a place to unwind!

Wonderful, peaceful location. We only spent one night here but I wish we could have spent a week! The room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was wonderful, they even made me a gluten free muffin! The location itself is quiet and off the beaten track but only 10 minutes from Hammondsport and very close to some wineries. We would definitely return and we highly recommend.
