Hello Everyone, my name is Piero, I’m 60 years old and I live in San Gimignano, my native town. I take care of Villa Alba together with my family, including my grandparents. We all live only a few meters down the road, so we are always there and available at all times. We love to “spoil” our guests, always doing our best to make them feel at home. Unfortunately, I don’t speak English, however, I speak the universal language of openness, hospitality and friendliness.
This language allows me to communicate with my guests and to build wonderful relationships with them. The world-famous jam tarts and cakes by Grandma Irma; the home-made jam by Simona and Paola (respectively, my partner and my sister), made with fruits grown by Grandpa Nello; the cured meats, including the wild boar salami and the pork ham, strictly made with my own hands, delicious with Tuscan bread and sometimes accompanied by a glass of good wine, made, of course, with the grapes from our vineyards. Well, we believe this is also a good way to communicate with our Guests!
I have always had a great passion for cooking and, over time, I have become a Chef. This is why, since 40 years, I have been the owner of “La Stella” Restaurant, situated in the historical town centre of San Gimignano, just a few minutes away from Villa Alba. The restaurant is now managed by my son Paolo, together with his girlfriend Laura. They are young, full of enthusiasm and eager to grow and improve. Knowledge handed down from father to son, in order for the tradition, the scents and the flavours of our wonderful Tuscany to survive.
