Description

High quality apartment situated 3 minutes walk for the main lift station in the charming village of Chantemerle within the ski resort of Serre Chavalier. 3 bedrooms, sleeping 6 with ground floor ski locker. Balcony views onto the pistes.

The apartment has 3 bedrooms - (one double, one bunk beds, one twin). There is an open plan living room/kitchen. WiFi is available and bedding is provided. The apartment is in the old part of the village in a converted building dating from the nineteenth century.

The ski lift station; bars; restaurants are all within easy walking distance.
Chantemerle is one of several villages all connected by an extensive ski area to form the ski resort of SerreChavalier, one of the top five largest ski areas in France.All abilities are catered for and there are several french and international ski schools in the area.
The French/Italian ski area, "the MikyWay", comprising Montgeneve; Claviere and Sestriere is 30mins drive away.
For the more experienced skiers in a group, La Grave with its famous high altitude glacier skiing is 45mins away.

Most guests from the UK and mainland Europe drive to the resort but flying to Turin (1.5hrs away) and hiring a car is also a popular option. Other airports to consider are Lyon and Grenoble though recent issues with the road tunnel from Bourg D'Oisans means that you will need to drive via Gap to reach the resort.
There is ample free public parking near the apartment.
The whole ski area is accessible from the ski lift station and there is also a free ski bus that runs to all the ski villages in the resort.

There is someone who lives locally who looks after the apartment. He will meet you with keys and is available during your stay to help if there are any issues that need attention.

A large ski area with much of it tree lined. The lifts are 3 minutes away as are a selection of ski schools. The village is also a lovely place for a summer holiday or for those who enjoy mountain biking or road cycling (the Galibier, Telegraph, Lautaret, Granon, Izoard, Montgenevre and Echelle Cols are all close by for those wishing to follow in the footsteps of Tour De France champions).

In the Summer it is easy to head to the lake at Embrum (45 minutes) for windsurfing and other leisure activities. La Roche De Rame (30 minutes) has a beautiful bathing lake. The thermal spa baths at Monetier are only 8kms away from the apartment.

The apartment's central location in the village means you have a choice of many places to eat nearby.

There are several options for parking in the village. Much of the parking is free of charge.
The nearest and most convenient airport is Turin (1.5hrs). Other options are Lyon (2hrs) and Grenoble (1.5hrs). There is also a railway station nearby in Briancon (with an overnight service) and a TGV service from Paris to Oulx in Italy (40mins in a taxi).

The appartment is well located (2 min from the slopes) well equiped and the master bedroom very spacious. The organization to recover the Keys was very easy, towels and sheets are provided wich is very convenient. Thank you Adam, we will try to rent your appartment for 2018 winter holidays !

Adam's apartment was really great and there was more space than we had expected. It is very well located to the ski lifts and all of the restaurants and shops. Even with 3 little children it was an easy walk to the main ski lift. The apartment was well stocked with basic items. We had a great stay here and would have no hesitation recommending this apartment to others.

Excellent apartments in the historic center, in a quiet street. Very well situated - free parking at 100 meters, 500 meters ski lift, a cool restaurant in the 200 meters. The apartments are very clean and well maintained, with all sorts of useful things. Better than the MMV or CGH in Montgenevre :) Cozy apartment on the top floor with a balcony. At the entrance, downstairs, is a ski locker, but no dryer for shoes. No problem - we take with Therm-ic refresher. Thanks to owner!

Exellent location at the centre of the old town , very convenient for the ski station.Helpfull housekeeper,good WiFi ,convenient skilocker at the basement.The house was as it was described ,with nice view from the balcony ,clean and with a very well equiped kitchen .The owner did not asked for a deposit or cleaning fees and that makes you feel more responsible.The only drawback (for me ) was the insufficient lighting in the living room ,just put some overhead lights please !I guess it is difficult to construct a lift to the 3rd floor (I am joking ). Generally ,exellent stay.Thank you.

The apartment is comfortable, well appointed, centrally located and still manages to have a view - perfect for our family of 5. The ski lifts are at the end of the road (2mins) and the ski locker downstairs was extremely useful. There are sport shops all through town if you need anything and are a couple of supermarkets for other stuff. Although no snow had fallen, the artificial snow made sure the slopes were good enough for the week and the village was busy every evening with street entertainment and parades in the run up to Christmas. The nearby villages are wonderful to visit and explore too and all had entertainment to enjoy. We had a fantastic Christmas in Chantemerle, thank you!
