We came to Frank and Sharon's cottage so we could attend a graduation at UVA on Saturday and then head to Baltimore for another one on Monday. It was our first Air B&B experience and it was terrific! From the moment we reserved through the whole trip their communication, helpfulness and hospitality were 1st class. The cottage was in an extremely quiet and gorgeous location. We had everything we needed and more. We hope to come back again soon!

We were very happy with our stay at The Country Cottage. Exactly as described and just what we were looking for. Secluded enough for peace and quiet but an easy commute to the Charlottesville attractions. Thanks for everything.

Perfect spot for a getaway weekend around Charlottesville. The cabin is spacious and cozy with all the amenities you could need, the lake is right out front, and Frank and Sharon are amazing hosts - they had many suggestions for activities to do and places to visit while we were in town! Will be coming back!

Cottage is adorably decorated in a beach-y theme. The cottage was spacious and queen size bed was comfortable. The hosts had thought of everything to make the stay comfortable and easy. Kitchen had all the necessary utensils for cooking breakfast. Bathroom was stocked with toiletries and towels (bath, hand, face, etc.). They even provided sunscreen, sunglasses, bug spray and beach towels for the lake -- which unfortunately we didn't have as much time to enjoy as I would have liked. I really enjoyed my visit and thought the location was perfect for my purposes - slightly outside of the city (20 min via country roads) but still close enough to drive in for dinner. It's a good mid-point between the mountains and Charlottesville.

Amazing little retreat away from the hustle and bustle, but with Charlottesville and surrounding area still within relative easy reach. We adored the location and our kids literally became more and more excited as we wound around the country road to get to the cottage. Lakeside was huge bonus, with access to boats and beach fire pit. We were in town for our oldest to visit UVA, with his younger brothers taking full advantage of all the lake had to offer as often as they could, literally, including a friendly fishing competition between the two of them. I believe 18 was the count. We ventured into town, hiked, and enjoyed a local winery, all under the guidance/direction of the extremely detailed cottage directory provided by Frank and Sharon. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, thanks for the priceless memories (also thanks to the board games as we unplugged). Truly a gem!

We satayed at Sharon and Frank's cottage for a weekend. The cottage was very nicely decorated and extremely clean. Inside the place looks better than the pictures. Spending time by the small like near the cottage was so relaxing.

My boyfriend and I came here to celebrate my birthday, and we had a wonderful time! Frank and Sharon were so welcoming, and the cottage as lovely. They provided all amenities you could have wanted, including campfire supplies, and conscientiously refilled all supplies and amenities. They also left me a birthday cupcake, which was a nice, heartfelt touch. We really enjoyed having the opportunity to have a campfire, and took advantage of it on both nights! We also were able to cook dinner and relax. Also, the bed is incredibly comfortable! :) All in all, a great trip! I highly recommend it. Thank you, Sharon and Frank!
