This large, traditional Portuguese holiday villa blends amongst the greenery and tranquility that surrounds it. Spacious enough to welcome the whole family, it holds 4 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms in the main house, as well as one bedroom and bathroom in the annex. This villa is designed to bring you the ultimate comfort: a fully equipped kitchen, a large dining room, a warm and cosy lounge with a library, TV and inviting fireplace, a games room with table tennis… It even holds a breakfast room that opens onto the garden, so you can wake up with a smile as you take in nature’s morning sweetness with your breakfast tea or coffee at hand.
The outdoors features an expansive garden with an immense 15-meter long pool, and changing rooms right by it for that extra touch of comfort. There is also a full-sized tennis court on the other side of the garden, so as to keep everyone happy!

Colares is a sweet, typical Portuguese village, located between Azoia and the enchanting town of Sintra, reinvested in by artists, antique dealers, local markets, friendly cafes, it even has its own winery! In the last few years, a more “alternative” vibe has started emerging, where local markets with organic produces are held regularly, as well as permaculture workshops, equestrian events, yoga retreats, alternative healing centres, and many cultural visits all being available nearby!
The beautiful beaches of Praia das Maçãs and Praia Grande are just 3 minutes’ drive away, and the historical town of Sintra (declared by UNESCO as World Heritage) with all its palaces and gardens is less than 10 minutes’ drive away. The picturesque village of Azenhas do Mar, perched on top of the ocean, is just 5 minutes’ drive from the property and Cabo da Roca, the most Western point of the European continent, a 10-minute drive away. Surfer's paradise Ericeira is within 20 minutes reach by car.
Walking distance from the house, you will find the traditional tram (dating from the early 1900s), which runs every summer’s day between Sintra and Praia das Maças; definitely a fun experience to try out!
Cascais is about 20 minutes away, and the bustling capital, Lisbon, just over half an hour's drive away. Alternatively, if you want a more “local” journey, you can also hop onto the train at Sintra and arrive in the hub of Lisbon, “Rossio”, 30 minutes later!
rrival: Rent begins, unless otherwise agreed, at 16h. Should a different time be requested, the tenant must provide the estimated time of arrival to the property and My Friends’ Houses will do their best to meet these times. On busy days, the tenant may be kindly asked to wait a short time. In case of late arrival or delays, the tenant must notify us. The owner, representative of the owner or My Friends’ Houses, will be there to welcome the tenant, show the property and inform the tenant of all the necessary practical details.
Departure: The lease ends at 10h, maximum on the last day of the rental period unless otherwise agreed with the parties. The tenant must return the premises in the condition he/she found them with the furniture back in its original place, trash taken to the street, refrigerator emptied and the property generally tidy and clean. A thorough cleaning is performed after the property has been vacated.
he tenant agrees to treat the house, its furnishings and surroundings (including neighbours) with respect and care. Upon departure, the tenant agrees to leave the property, including furniture, in the same condition as it was found upon arrival. All items listed in the inventory (if applicable) must be returned to their original place. The tenant is obliged to maintain the property in its original conditions, included but not limited to; sanitation, electrical, heating, open fireplaces, for which the tenant must take all precautions. All repairs to the property, including its grounds, made necessary by the negligence or improper use during the rental period will be charged to the tenant. This agreement is not for any third party (including sub-letting), except with prior agreement from the owner. Number of persons: The number of people using the property cannot exceed the maximum capacity defined in the description and in the specifications of this contract. In exceptional circumstances and subject to the consent of the owner, an exception can be made to this rule. In this case, the owner is entitled to a price increase. This increase is communicated to the tenant and is recorded on the lease.
