À propos de ce logement
Experience the Victorian countryside's lush natural habitat - winding country roads, rolling hills, wineries, cycling and walking trails, just a short 65km drive north of Melbourne. A beautifully appointed quiet sun-lit rustic guesthouse. Featuring a private bedroom with two queen sized beds a single fold-out on request, bathroom, kitchenette, heating and air-conditioning, in addition to an outdoor cooking area within a private deck, miniature herb garden & sumptuous paddock and bushland views.
Escape the hustle and bustle. Our Guesthouse was created as a private serene space where guests can experience the colourful greenery, rolling hills and natural light that floods into the neutral interior. The private deck too was designed to mesh with the surrounding environment and to maximise the view across the forty acres of lush bushland, complete with an outdoor wood fired chiminea for the colder months. The large beautifully appointed bedroom - with two queen sized beds, a fold-out bed (on request), european panel heating & air-conditioning - is a serene space featuring the simplicity of plywood walls, bamboo timber flooring but still with a country feel. (Please note, the bedroom and the kitchenette both open out to the deck and are joined only by the covered area. Going from the bedroom to the bathroom for example, means you will be stepping out to the deck, walk 2 metres to the kitchenette and through to the bathroom, as there are no connecting doors). The bathroom, with European panelled heating, and the kitchenette, both situated off the private deck, have a contemporary sleek design with handcrafted cedar and blackwood finishes. The Guesthouse features an outdoor wood fired Chiminea, outdoor gas heater, coffee pod machine, microwave, a modern gas BBQ, an electric plug in hotplate, toaster, kettle, crockery and cutlery, in addition to a washing machine and refrigerator. Winding country roads, magnificent walking trails within the National Park and a local winery at our door are but some of the features of the area. Our Guesthouse is the ideal bush retreat for people seeking a quiet country getaway or digital detox, not too far from the city but close enough to Yarra Valley's finest wineries, restaurants and numerous other activities.
Accès des voyageurs
The Guesthouse does adjoin our family home, however you will experience absolute privacy as it is on the opposing side of a very large American Barn style building. It features an exclusive very private entrance, bedroom, deck, kitchenette, bathroom and car space. Please feel free to take a walk across our paddocks or along the twisting creek that borders the entire property, it is rambling but lovely.

We are on Instagram (binahguesthouseglenburn) and (Binah Guesthouse in Glenburn) too so take a look for more information and photos. To access the bathroom or kitchenette at night from the bedroom, you will be stepping out onto the deck, it is covered but this may be disconcerting for some people at night. The closest supermarket is a 10 minute drive from the Guesthouse, as is the local country pub. A little further, 15-30 minute drive you will find an abundance of restaurants and wineries to choose from.

I am an Auslan/English Interpreter & Translator. My husband John is an award winning builder with over 25 years experience creating extraordinary homes and spaces all over Melbourne and Victoria.
Despite being a city dweller (Melbourne, London) for most of my life, my move to Glenburn only a few years back was a wonderful life change. We lead hectic lives travelling back and forth from Melbourne for school (for our 3 children), work and Uni etc so to come home to 40 acres of beautiful lush bush land is an absolute joy. We are a well travelled family also with many stories from our trips abroad to share and just as many stories to share of our country life here in Glenburn. The gardens, infrastructure and some aspects of the building were destroyed in the Black Saturday fires so we spend as much time as we possibly can re-building what was lost and re-establishing the surrounding gardens (despite both of us lacking green thumbs).
The sunsets and sunrises are gorgeous as are the walks within the National Park. Our neighbours are the local wine maker Philip Lobley Wines and sourdough bread maker Wild Crust Bakery - what else could we possibly need.
It is my aim that each of our guests experience a quiet stay to breathe and recalibrate from their busy lives. We love it here and we hope you do too.
