Staying at Putu's place was a wonderful experience. Sadly my girlfriend an I arrived a little late and only had one night, but the place is awesome and totally relaxing. We stayed up very late just to listen to the sound of the wildlife. The place is very remote and was a little hard to find, but thanks to some locals our driver managed to find it. Location is a little off from the coast, but located very nicely in the middle of rice fields and close to sekumpul waterfall in the rain forest. I totally recommend staying at this place!

My stay in Sudaji with Putu and San San was fantastic. The main reasons for coming to Bamboo was to experience real Bali and to eat fantastic food. They delivered on both accounts! The food is probably the best I've eaten in Bali. It is mainly vegetarian but the use of so many different meat substitutes and fantastic flavours means you'll never miss the meat or fish. Sekumpul falls are beautiful with the surrounding countryside full of paddy fields, cocoa and coffee plants. There's also a delicious constant smell of clove wafting in the air as you drive by. Perfect hosts in a perfect location! Thank you!

Great food, however, at a steep price. both breakfast and lunch have to be paid additionally. Nice place in a really remote rural area. Special activities can be arranged: early morning market, working in the rice field or teaching local kids in school. Bamboo constructions can be loud, depending on your neighbors.the outdoor bathroom had cold water only in the evening. For us the joined praying and "oooom" at the dinner table was for sure an experience, although for us, it had a far too spiritual touch.

Zanzan and Putu were very hospitable and welcoming, and their mother made the most amazing vegetarian food ever. It was definitely a unique experience for us, and a good place to unwind. Just a note to those who are thinking of staying here: 1. The wifi is pretty shabby, so if you really need to be connected, get a prepaid card (You can ask Zanzan to help with this) 2. There's isn't really anywhere within a 30 minute bike ride where you can get legit food, so you'll be eating at omunity for most meals 3. Bring flip-flops/waterproof shoes for hiking to the waterfalls. There are rivers to cross along the way. 4. Be prepared for the REAL village experience.

Hello, my husband Zanzan and I are passionate about connecting friends and guests from all around the world with the beauty and potential that our rural Balinese village has to offer. After working in the hospitality business for many years (i.e. The Ritz-Carlton, Hilton, Arma Group and Fivelements), Zanzan now devotes his time to his hometown Sudaji in Northern Bali. Organic farming, more effective trash removal systems, the many benefits of yoga meditation, and the importance of the English language to our youth are among the numerous projects that he is invloved in.
As native Balinese, we love welcoming new friends into our home and doing whatever we can to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.
