We can start the night at 9.30pm at a nice chill relaxed lounge or bar area (around Mikocheni or Masaki) for a meal if you would prefer where you can have some of our famous tasty meat, there will be options of Nyama Choma and Mishakaki these are skewered meat(chicken/beef/goat)marinated in some spices and cooked in a hot bed of coal served with lime and hot chilli, seafood will also be available .For Vegetarians please inform early so I can plan ahead. Then we can head to the Masaki Strip, where we will first pass by one or two famous bars to start off our night . And then we can also check out the clubs too, so come with close toed shoes, depending on the night some events might require entrance fee, that shall be covered. Then we shall head to oyster bay area and check out the beach bars. We shall party the night away with afro beats/hip hop/reggae/ pop music. For Sunday bookings we shall be going out at the Mbezi Beach area, we will meet at a bar around mbezi beach and then head to the beach bars around the area Other things to note Just have your GPS on it will help in maneuvering through different locations, and Uber also help. Also carry a phone charger and if possible have a fully charged power bank. We start the trip to Mnemba Island at 09.00 from Kendwa Beach. On the way to Mnemba we normally see dolphins and you are free to jump in and swim with them. When we reach Mnemba you will be snorkeling with a lot of different fish species around the island, while we prepare the seafood and chicken BBQ lunch, seasonal fruits and soft drinks for you. If the tide is low, we also get off on Mnemba sandbank were you can take some magical pictures on the white sand in the middle of the Indian Ocean. We start to sail slowly back from Mnemba around 16.00 and watching the sunset before reaching Zanzibar around 18.30. You will be back with a whole new experience and view from what is under the surface of the Indian Ocean.

Then we ride down to the old Moshi road, pass churches and mosques and the place where we have our market on Thursdays and Sundays. After that we continue at the big road until Momela road – The road to the Arusha national park. There you will see coffee plantations, and we will tell you about what we Tanzanians grow here. If you look up you will even see Mount Meru. After that we leave the big road and go by the road up to Usa River, where the guide will tell you about the water drainage system and tell you about how they used that to feed the big flower plantation, which used to be here. You still see the greenhouses. If you are lucky, you will even see some of the wild animals living here - zebras, antelopes many kinds of monkeys and birds. After a little break there you continue through the village, where you will pass a lot of shops and children. The children will call HI you Mzungu and run after you. Then we continue down again, and stop at our café. This café is driven by volunteers from URYDO. There we will have a soda, and you can buy bites or order delicious local food and eat at our roof top terrace with a view over the life in Usa River- even Mount Meru and Killimanjaro if the weather is clear.

3 Days: Experience the Bush in Mikumi
Day 1 Depart from your hotel in Dar Es Salaam around 7 a.m. to 8 a.m. for Mikumi National park (4-5 hours drive from Dar Es Salaam), being nestled between the Uluguru Mountains to the East and the Rift Valley Escarpments to the Southwest. As it is close to the Selous ecosystem and therefore part of it, it benefits from the highest game density of the entire conservation area. The Mikumi National Park obtains a good impression of the African animal world and is definitely suitable for a short visit. After arrival at Mikumi National Park you have the opportunity to embark on sunset game drives around the park. Overnight at Mikumi bandas inside the park. The bandas are basic but exceptionally close to nature. You will feel a guaranteed connection here! Day 2 Go on a full day game drive around Mikumi National Park. There is a rich variety bird species as well as large numbers of giraffes, buffaloes and elephants and close to the water holes and also lions, leopards and hippos. Furthermore you can see zebras, wild dogs, pythons, hartebeest, wildebeest, impala, warthog, eland and other antelopes. Several observation towers enable you to overview the park in its entirety. Mikumi National Park is mostly made up of miombo woodland with gently rolling hills in the background. Day 3 After breakfast we proceed with a morning game drive or return to Dar es Salaam depending on planned arrival time in Dar es Salaam. Arrival in the late afternoon/early evening including transfer back to the hotel in Dar es Salaam or to catch the ferry for Zanzibar. Breakfast and lunch included. First, we talk about the traditional food of Tanzania and decide what to cook. Then we go shopping together with the local mamas at the street shops. We talk about the origin of the food and how to get a good price. We continue to the butcher. Then we return to the café and prepare the food together. As we cook the food we talk about the Tanzanian kitchen and which part food plays in Tanzanian life. We talk about the different tribes, and their different traditions in regard to food. Ngorongoro: Conservation and Community
We meet at Kilimanjaro Airport or in Arusha and drive to Ngorongoro. The scenic drive takes about 4 hours and we pass Lake Manyara and climb up the Rift Valley and up to Ngorongoro. Your game drive starts as we enter Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Lions, leopards and elephants frequent the area around the crater rim. We will stop at the crater lookout and continue to either Rhino Lodge or the budget option, camping on the crater rim. The lodge is perched just off the crater rim and run by members of my community. Welcome drink followed by buffet dinner if you chose for the lodge, delicious private chef prepared meal if you opt to camp. Get to bed early to be ready for tomorrow. Day 2 Today we will climb down Empakai Crater. This is the baby brother of Ngorongoro Crater. We will spot wildlife on our way there and descend with packed lunch. A warrior will join our hike and you can ask him and myself anything you want about our culture. We climb up again and return to the camp (standard option) or Rhino Lodge (premium option). Day 3 Today we rise early to drive into the Ngorongoro Crater. We bring packed lunch and we try to see the Big 5 and many other beautiful animals. We will stop over with the rangers to discuss their challenges and how they help keep our flora and fauna alive and well, especially how they protect our endangered rhino. We drive out of the crater again in late afternoon and return to the lodge. Day 4 Today is your last day with us and we will drive to my village to meet with the Maasai community. You will learn about our lives, how we see the future and how we manage the opportunities and challenges of living in a conservation area. We will then return to Arusha or to Kilimanjaro. I suggest adding our Zanzibar stay to this safari. Other things to note The price displayed is the price per person for a group of 6 adults sharing in green season. The price is higher for smaller groups and in peak season. We do however have discounts for children!
