WINTERS LEADERSHIP MEMORIAL: Richard D. Winters became famous through the telling of Easy Company's WW2 story in the HBO Miniseries, Band of Brothers. Winters' hometown was Ephrata and there's a statue of him (a replica of one in Normandy, France), set in Veterans' Plaza along Ephrata's rail trail (also named for Winters).
