Wonderful BBQ spot in beautiful Blanco, about a 30 minute scenic drive. While you're there you can check out Real Ale, a great central Texas brewery! Worth the drive - beats standing in line two hours at The Salt Lick!

Nearby (you can walk through the neighborhood to get there, if you wish). Service can be a bit slow at times, but the food is good and the menu is varied. Good muffins, too!

Excellent Pizza and Pastrami 5 minutes from our house. Best to go right when it opens on weekdays, or on off times on weekends - it gets very busy. The food is worth the wait!
