This is a fun place of WWII history to visit near Downtown Wilmington. A real live Battleship! I have been there four times throughout the 31 years I have lived here and they are always refurbishing and adding new sections of the ship to visit!

The Ferry runs between Fort Fisher (New Hanover County) and Southport (Brunswick County). It is about a half hour long in which time you can enjoy the salt air, seagulls and just relax in your car or in the little lounge that has vending machines. As far as I know, the price is still only $5.00

This cute little area filled with shops and housing is like a city within a city in Wilmington. Fun place to park, walk, shop and eat. It also has a movie theater.
