Great little coffeeshop owned by a very sweet family from Argentina. Don't pass up some of their home's classic drinks! And while it might seem weird at first, their spinach cake is out of this world.

A perfect hole-in-the-wall Mexican joint. We have never ordered something here we don't like, and it is open very late and very early! Our personal favorites are the carne guisada, the al pastor, and the horchata.

The best way we have come to describe this place is Asian fusion (like, all of Asia, plus a little India) with TexMex sprinkled on top. With the awesome decor, inventive drinks, and ever-changing menu, you will never get bored.
While the menu rotates, there is something that is always there that you must try, non-negotiable (barring a seafood allergy): the twice fried wings. They are. Freaking. Amazing.

A big park with so many things to do, from play grounds to wooded trails to the zoo and Japanese Tea Gardens, it has something for everyone! It is also close to many other fun activities such as the Pearl and the Witte Museum. It makes a great stop on a fun-filled day!

Brackenridge Park
3700 N St Mary's StA big park with so many things to do, from play grounds to wooded trails to the zoo and Japanese Tea Gardens, it has something for everyone! It is also close to many other fun activities such as the Pearl and the Witte Museum. It makes a great stop on a fun-filled day!
Much closer to our home and far quieter than Brackenridge, we LOVE this park. It features an old estate house, a duck pond, and a really cool, hand-crafted Korean monument (thanks to San Antonio's sister city Gwangju).

It is on the riverwalk, yes, but we cannot rightly call this place a tourist trap. The Esquire features artful (and strong!) cocktails, food, and live music most weekends. We stumbled onto it rather on accident, and it instantly became a favorite!

This bar/dance hall is a fun way to spend a weekend evening listening to great music away from the hustle & bustle of downtown. Don't get us wrong--it is always busy--but the prices are fair and the locals are friendly. And if you aren't in to dancing, there is a pool hall for you to enjoy!
