Sitka Trail Works maintains many miles of back country and town trails for your back country or daily hiking adventures. Check out the Sitka Trail Works website for more details on routes and guided hikes. There is plenty to see and do here in Sitka if you just want to get out and enjoy the sights!

Getting Around

This suite is right of the main highway (Halibut Point Rd), accessible via public transit, and very close to the ferry and cruise shop landings. Bus Service: The Sitka Tribe of Alaska operates public transit buses throughout town called the RIDE. http://www.travelsitka.com/bus-schedule.shtml The RIDE operates outbound through the "blue-line" 6:30am-7:30pm, M-F EVERY HOUR. The bus stop is right below our suite on Halibut Point Rd at Viking Way. The "red line" operates transiting back into town and arrives in town about 17 mins past the hour, each hour. The cost is $2 one way or $5 for a day pass.
