The Cubano Sandwich will melt in your mouth, the red beans are amazing and the chicken and plantains will make you feel like you are eating off a Puerto Rican Street grill. P.S. They deliver!

It is the best of the best, but $$$$. Cheese, produce, prepared food, wine, bread, fancy juice drinks, fresh cut flowers and a modern apothecary.

Great (California Style, or maybe Mill Valley Style), Mexican Food ($$$$). Amazing Margaritas, mushroom quesidillas and shrimp tacos. Good bar scene, but still small town.

Taking the ferry to the city or to Angel Island is the best excuse to visit downtown Tiburon, but if you are set on visiting a quaint bayside town with amazing views, I encourage TIburon over Sausalito. It is less touristy, but still has plenty of slighlty good over-priced restaurants(bring a sack lunch for the ferry?).
