Excellent staff with authentic Mexican food. They are super kid friendly and offer a great variety of food. Whenever they can they buy local produce. They work hard to offer gluten-free options and vegetarian. One of our personal favorites to visit

This is one of my personal favorite hikes! There are switch backs so it isn't a real tough hike. The climb up onto the rock is a little tougher, but well worth it! The views are awesome. On a clear day you can see the Salton Sea to the East & the Pacific Ocean to the West.

I think this hike is best starting at the Farmer's road end. You can leave a car in Santa Ysabel so you can hike one way which is about perfect! Kanaka Flats is a great loop with lots of beauty and can easily be walked & back to your car. Cattle have roamed this preserve, which is an old ranch, for years.
