Use the Galeairy Lake Boat Launch to travel in to Rock Lake. Park for free.

Shop early!

If you need groceries, beer, gas, whatever... be sure to stop and shop before 6pm. Stores close early here. Weekend hours may be extended in the summer, but don't assume anything is open past 6pm.

Hiking in the Park?

Plan to be done with your trip by about half an hour before sunset, especially if you are inexperienced. It's gets dark in the forest quicker because of the canopy. Don't risk getting lost after dark.

Be safe when viewing wildlife

This is not a zoo! Be sure to stay a safe distance from any animals you encounter. If you spot a moose or a deer from the highway and want to observe, pull over out of the live lane of traffic to stop safely and put your flashers on.
