North Bay has much to offer for the outdoor enthusiasts. We are fortunate to have 2 beautiful lakes within the city. With great hiking, walking and bicycle paths, there is definitely something for everyone.
Great hike! Not strenuous, mostly flat ground with a few well worn path inclines. This is approx 35mins east of North Bay. Well worth the trip. So picturesque, with history plackards along the way.

A short drive south of the city to Callander, takes to Cranberry Trail. Beautiful and scenic, an easy walk on a well-travelled trail. Walk to the end to a beautiful view of Trout Lake.

Their original home sits close to the North Bay waterfront for you to explore. Filled with artifacts and interesting information, worth checking out.

Food scene
The neighbourhood we live in is the 'main hub' of North Bay. More restaurants and stores than I can list. From fast food, to roadhouse, to finer dining. 2 great grocery stores are within walking distance - one, No Frills, is a box store. Sobeys is the other one, offering full service with wine and beer. The LCBO is in the Sobeys parking lot.
Locally owned, great coffee, baked treats, sandwiches, pizza - licensed..take out, drive thru, sit in. Great atmosphere. Only 2 minutes up the street.
