If you need basic supplies - but food supplies I would recommend Hartley Farm for a treat . There is a Coop which is a 5 minute walk along the Winsley Road which is a smaller one and much closer too

superb day out for walks
great few hours exploring the Abbey the grounds and the village. Harry Potter was filmed here. Its about 20 minute drive. Has a few great pubs and tea rooms as well. Great day out

a lovely hour or so exploring the house and the beautiful grounds. A great place also for bike ridings from Bradford along the lanes. Used as a film set for many a period drama including Poldark

The Walka lovely place for a picnic and a walk, 5 mins from Bradford on Avon, takes an hour or so
Im not saying the restaurant particularly but the grounds are an amazing place to walk all seasons. There is a big lake to walk around, great pub to warm up in.. A superb day out. 40 mins away

The Best Sunday Roast in town and very friendly staff. The Chef has earn Michelin stars in previous establishments so the food will not disappoint. Also great just for a drink - the wine is excellent.

Well it is a lovely atmosphere but the service isn't as good as the others I've listed. 1.5 million was spent on the renovations and it was only opened this year. Run by River Cottage team
