If you love sushi you should try Peruvian sushi at least once on your trip, if not more than once. It's amazing. This is tied for my favorite sushi restaurant, plus it's walkable from the apartment.

Between Ache and Edo, Edo ties for one of the tastiest and affordable Peruvian sushi bars near the apartment. This one is a 15 min walk, or a 5 min taxi. Worth it because Peruvian sushi is the best.

If you want to go to a sandy beach that isn't really crowded and pretty close to Lima, I recommend this beach. It's located on a Wildlife refuge. It takes about 20-30 mins in a taxi to get there. 15-20 soles at the most via taxi. Ask to go to the Club located in Pantanoes. Get out at the club (no need to go in as its a private club) and go to the beach located in front of the club. In the summer there are food stands that sell ceviche etc. on the beach.

Really close beach to the apartment. You can walk there by taking the bajada Balta. If you walk towards the direction of Larcomar past the surf area there is a nice rocky (yes rocky) beach to hang out at.
