Great place to eat a bar meal. Also a good place for Happy Hour. Make sure to order BITTERBALLEN. It's fried stuff to snack on with your beer.

Walk or bike
Amsterdam is a walking city. From your guesthouse, you can nearly get anywhere within 20 minutes of walking.
If you are comfortable biking then that's a great option. NOTE: Amsterdammers use biking as their main transportation, not as a past time. They bike FAST, DELIBERATE and keep to traffic laws (slow traffic stay RIGHT, If you come from the right you have right of way).
