Take a horse and buggy to a riverside cookout with the 320 Ranch! There’s nothing better than a summer dinner by the river, the smell of sizzling steaks wafting through the air. Wednesday evenings during the summer take a 2-hour horseback or wagon ride to dinner. On the menu is your choice of N.Y. strip steak or barbecued chicken, prepared on an open grill along the banks of the Gallatin River.

This is a great hike leading to a few beautiful mountain lakes. It is a perfect half-day hike and is generally pretty easy but be warned that the last bit is steep, and you are at fairly high elevation. To get to the trailhead, drive west onto Highway 64 from the junction of highway 191 and travel approximately 9-10 miles. Continue until the end taking a right immediately before the Moonlight Basin gate onto Beehive Basin Road. Follow this windy road for two miles to the parking area and trailhead.

Transportation in Big Sky- No Uber or Lyft!

In order to experience all that Big Sky has to offer, it is helpful to have access to a vehicle during your stay. This allows you to travel seamlessly throughout the community from the Gallatin River to Lone Peak. While ride-sharing and taxi services are abundant in other communities, Big Sky remains a small town with limited options for transportation. We offer a 5% discount code to Explore Rentals for confirmed guests. They are located minutes away from the Bozeman Airport and provide 4 wheel drive vehicles with dedicated snow tires in the winter and all-season tires in the summer!
