Formerly the private estate of a feudal lord and then the imperial family, this is considered one of the most important parks of the Meiji Era. It's wonderful for strolling because of the variety of its planed gardens; styles range from French and English to Japanese traditional.
Hours:9:00-16:00 (Gates close at 16:30)
Regular holidays/closings:Mondays (If a Monday is a public holiday, then closed the following weekday) and New Year’s holidays (December 29–January 3)
