This bookstore has a devoted following, having been in our neighborhood for almost 50 years (which is a long time for San Francisco!). It is packed with books and cards, and has an annex a few doors down with used books and magazines. People get lost in these shops for hours!

We're less than two blocks from San Francisco's busiest public transit street, Geary Blvd. Buses run very frequently. If you want to get downtown quickly, walk down to 6th and Geary and take the 38 Express or Limited bus, both of which have fewer stops than the regular 38 bus.

There's something here for everyone, and it's only about a 5 minute walk from home. The museum features (among other things) a rainforest, full of birds and butterflies, a planetarium, and an aquarium. It's fantastic!

There's so much to do in Golden Gate Park. It has world class museums, gardens, lakes, and forests. Walk through it to its end, and you are at the Pacific Ocean. What a treat!

This is a magnificent trail which overlooks the ocean. It starts near the Cliff House, at the end of Geary Blvd. Many people think this is the prettiest walk in San Francisco.
