Brilliant cycle way from Wadebridge to Padstow with cycle hire available at the start of the trail in Wadebridge (you can start in Bodmin if you fancy a longer ride). Have a pasty in Padstow, or fish and chips from Rick Steins, then cycle back. Great views along the Camel Estuary. Allow 50 minutes to get to Wadebridge.

Lovely house and gardens well worth a visit if you like historic places. Just 35 minutes across Bodmin moor on the A30 and call in at Jamaica inn on the way back.

Really splendid gardens also owners of the Eden Project. Slightly over an hour to get here but if you like gardens well recommended.

Lots to do and see in Plymouth !
Plymouth is well worth a visit to see the historic Barbican and the Hoe. Outdoor swimming available at Tinside Pool on the Hoe. Smeaton's Tower can also be climbed when open. The National Marine Aquarium is recommended for a rainy day activity with children but worth a visit any day.
Lots of shopping available at Charles Cross if you fancy. Lots of eateries available in the Royal William Yard. The Vue cinema complex also has pizza and other eateries.
