We used to live in the small city of St Asaph just 10 minutes away. I would highly recommend a walk down by the river. Good place to take a picnic or even a barbecue. Or if you prefer stop at the Plough pub for drink and food

I would say it’s a must visit. 30 minute drive at the most. An old town surrounded by castle walls. Spend some time walking the walls or touring the castle, or even wandering the shops . Don’t forget to visit the Marina with a bag of chips

I think this town is a real lovely place and well worth a visit. Even if it’s just a walk along the prom it’s a beautiful place to be. If you prefer the shops that also. If the children want to do some crabbing of the pier it’s a good spot

30 minute drive away a popular destination for a walk. Explore loggerheads area and walk up Moel Famau. Then when your back down visit the nice pub over the road.

Place that we enjoy eating out about a 15 minute drive but lovely walks nearby. I think me and my wife would personally recommend the lamb shoulder. Always have a few nice guest ales and a good whisky selection
