SO BEAUTIFUL - many people paddleboard in this area and it's just a great place for sheltered water - it's a 2 mile walk down the beach from our cottage.

Surprisingly cool little town. Lots of historic cafe's, a historic cinema, very cute thrift and antique stores, and all the big grocery stores plus a great hardware store: Rosenburg's.

A beach you can only get to through a tunnel? yes please. From the beach at our cottage, walk through Maxwell PointTunnel (read the history) and spend a few hours exploring. Super cool and completely other worldly in certain weather conditions (try going when it's foggy!). Especially good at low tide.

We have personally eaten here and the service was friendly and attentive, the food is good, the views are incredible and the dessert menu is very tempting (haven't indulged personally but have heard it's unsurpassed).

It’s a food cart but has picnic tables in back in a lovely meadow. Tasty food and friendly service.
