Abinger Roughs and Netley Park - Beautiful walking trails and the odd tree swing for the children to use. Whitedown is particularly lovely in late April and May with it's carpet of bluebells. Whitedown just a few Km down from here has the most beautiful Bluebell wood in Spring

If you enjoy shopping there’s plenty to choose from! Beautiful cobbled streets, a castle and a cathedral (used in the original filming of the Omen) Plenty of café’s and restaurants. It’s on the river so you can wander down there for a bit of peace and quiet.

Easy walking distance from our house. Site of an Iron Age fort though there’s nothing left of it to see but there is an information board telling you about it. The views are spectacular you can see down to the coast on a clear day through the Shorham Gap in the South Downs.

Picturesque village 10 mins drive away, 2 pubs both serving good food. Has lovely shops and tea rooms. Hils is especially good, her homemade jam is to die for! Very historic, the church is nearly 1000 years old and has an interesting if somewhat unpleasant story of poor Christine the Abbess of Shere worth a visit and walk around. Shere was the setting for the film The Holiday and also many other films and series. If you want a truly great dining experience you can’t go wrong with Kinghams in Shere, but you’ll have to book well in advance.

Described as one of the finest views in the county. Newlands is spectacular. Great for walking and has a couple of restaurants and cafes for refreshments. It does get very busy on weekends and holidays especially if the weather is nice.
