This one way scenic loop offers great scenery - sometimes of black bears! Beautiful fall colors. Sometimes a foggy mist will hang down in the valleys. It is about an hour from the cabin and takes a few hours (depending on traffic) to drive the 18 mile loop as cars go very slowly, enjoying the spectacular views.

The Aquarium is really good in Gatlinburg. Many hands on activities for the kids. Wide variety of ocean creatures.
Anakeesta is a mountain top park. Ride a ski lift up and enjoy the zip line, treetop sky walk or mountain coaster. Great views.

Beautiful Lake with a nice public park near the dam that has shade trees and picnic tables with a sandy beach area. Water is pretty clear/clean. Great little swimming hole. Very good fishing here too!

Ijams Nature Center has good hiking trails for families with small children as it is not very hilly but still offers a good hike by the Tennessee River. They also have a quarry you can swim or kayak in.
