In fact the journey although of short duration is reputed to be one of the top ten UK rail journeys.

The narrow streets of Mousehole are as they have always been with small fishermans houses looking out to sea. The streets can best be described as quaint(narrow!!!) and unsuitable for motor vehicles. This village is totally unspoilt by the ravages of time...in fact you could say a time capsule!

Newlyn Renowned for its harbour, fishing fleet and the School of Art which was made famous by the artists community who resided there in the 19th century because of the intensity of light to be found there.

The SW coastal path from Somerset to Dorset passes through the town.
The coast line here is best described as rugged and dramatic and a walk to the end of the long pier/harbour wall on a stormy day is best described as an experience!

Close to St Buryan near Penzance you will find this superb example of a Prehistoric ceremonial stone circle is possibly one of the three remaining Gorsedds(Druids meeting place) left in the UK. Though tradition has it that the stones were maidens who were found dancing there on the Sabbath and were turned to stone for dancing on the holy day.
To this day you can find flowers which have been left there for the maidens in their memory.

From the rear of Steppy Downs Studio your vista is that of St Ives bay and the beach at Porthkidney.
Porthkidney is best described as a wide sandy crescent by an estuary.
