Multi-faceted place: bike store, back country outfitter, clothes, beer and food... it's got it all. While we tend to go to Sycamore for our cycling needs, The Hub is a fine spot for bikes and more and they've been very helpful with some hiking trip planning.

11 Mama's PlMulti-faceted place: bike store, back country outfitter, clothes, beer and food... it's got it all. While we tend to go to Sycamore for our cycling needs, The Hub is a fine spot for bikes and more and they've been very helpful with some hiking trip planning.

A very nice supermarket with impressive staff/service. Convenient location if you are coming to the house from Hendersonville near 25 and 276 (just south of downtown). 20-25 min from the house via Crab Creek Road.

Large and good supermarket located on Rt 280, about 5-10 minutes once you get off of I-26 at the Asheville Airport. This is the best place to stop to stock up if you are coming to the house from this direction.

Sightseeing
We would be remiss to not include the jewel of the neighborhood (and of the state forest system) in this guidebook. DuPont is 12,000 acres with great trails and numerous waterfalls. You can hike a loop to catch the two big ones (High Falls and Triple Falls) and you can hike an 'out and back' to catch Hooker Falls. Our favorite is Wintergreen Falls (fewer tourists get into this smaller Falls that is nestled away). If you are seeking a challenging hike to the highest point in DuPont, head for Stone Mountain (up Sky Valley to the tiny Rocky Ridge parking lot or to Frank Street).
The subject of where to bike in DuPont is too big to discuss here! Talk to David about that or look at one of the many online or App resources (we like MTBProject, but there are many options available).

Great venue, good beer. One of my favorite mellow music/beer spots in the area. The back of the stage opens up to the outdoor sitting area.
