One of the best Ethiopian restaurants in the city. Not cheap, but portions are generous and the food is delicious. Friendly staff but service can be slow. It gets loud so take out is a good option.

Very good burgers, not too expensive. They have a silly gimmick that adjusts the prices of the beer based on demand. I find the atmosphere only ok, but it's a decent place for a burger.

One of the best restaurants in DC. It's a splurge, but worth it if you can afford it. Very interesting takes on the best seasonal foods. Very friendly staff.

Belgian style restaurant, specializing in mussels and fries. Fantastic beer selection. I recommend the bison burger. Outstanding brunch. One of my favorites places in DC.

This used to be more of a bar and now it's more of a restaurant. The food is only ok and a bit overpriced for the quality. I think you can still sit at the bar upstairs.

One of the best places to get coffee in DC. Three locations--this is the closest. It's in the upscale Union Market, which is also worth a visit.

An upscale market in the old wholesale farmer's market building. Interesting take-out counters and "free" seating. A couple of sit down places. Go early on the weekend to avoid the crowds.

One of my favorite places on H St. A combination retail store, restaurant, coffee shop, and bar. Fine great coffee upstairs. Excellent pan-Asian style food. And also sneakers.
