There is a Cornwall Council car park on beach, but be aware of tide times as you don't want to get stuck on beach. A lovely sandy beach, safe for youngsters. There is a temporary dog ban, please check local details. The Mermaid Inn on the beach serves good food and drink.

A visit to Padstow is a must. Well know for its Rick Stein connection and he owns several restaurants and chip shops. There is a Lobster Hatchery. Plenty of places to have gorgeous Cornish ice cream or pasties. You can also take boat trips.

Newquay has 15 beaches. The main one being Fisteral, which is an iconic surfing beach, which has plenty of places to eat and drink and a Rick Stein restaurant. All beaches have summer lifeguard cover, always aim to follow the lifeguard rules, as the sea can be very dangerous.
