4001 SW Canyon RdSauvie Island is right across the river from us. The bridge is about five minutes away. It’s a massive island full of beautiful farms, many of them which you can visit visit and eat lunch at, visit farm animals, pick berries/other seasonal produce , etc. Reeder is one of the best beaches that you can visit on the Columbia River, and Collins Beach is just down from that, and is a famous nude beach if that is your thing.

Sauvie Island is right across the river from us. The bridge is about five minutes away. The Pittock Mansion is a historic mansion that you can tour. It sits atop the west hills and has probably the best view of Portland you can get. Walk up and down the main street and visits the many shops and restaurants (and a few dive bars, if that is your thing). Walk across the ICONIC St. Johns Bridge at sunset of visit the absolutely gorgeous Cathedral Park, which is below the bridge.

The side streets are full of gorgeous Victorians and beautiful garden homes. The street itself is lined with shops and restaurants, and is always bustling.

Fred Meyer is the closest well stocked grocery store. It is about 12 to 15 minutes away. It is a Kroger store, if you are familiar with those.

Even though we are outside of the city, most food delivery apps do come out here. Just tell them to leave it at the door, and you’re welcome to text me and let me know (or just walk up to the front door) and pick it up after it’s delivered.
